THREE IS THE TRAGIC NUMBER
It is the day that TriniDad and Yolande are due to find out whether or not they have been approved to be foster parents. This plot seems to have started in the previous geological epoch so there will probably be an ice age before an actual foster child shows up. Trinidad accuses Bad Brutha of being a slacker or something. They all go to the Vic to celebrate and BB says he will buy the first round but then he has to wait around for hours for a drug consignment. Quentin says he will have the drugs delivered round his house but then he is to busy cataloguing all his X-Men action figures to actually do anything about it. Apparently Byrite is due back tomorrow – oh joy. BB arrives at the Vic late and Trinidad is cross with him.
Poline looks like a lesbian with her new hair don’t.
Billy takes the baybay for a day and has an existential crisis or something. Drippy works at the Vic and simpers annoyingly whenever Fool cracks a “funny”. Billy hangs around with Dole Scum Keef and listens to him talking bollocks. Later on he copies Keef’s lame stories when Drippy asks him what they got up to together. Demi: still sad about not being allowed to be a mum.
Mo makes JoJo do all the chores so she can read Take a Break in peace. Jojo deliberately washes Teen’s undies with something dark so they go a funny colour. Teen tells her off and JoJo is all “but yeah, but no, but yeah.” Denman runs off to the club so he can lick Shazza’s face. They decide not to tell anyone for the time being. Shazza changes the work rota so that Denman will work with her that night but then O-Den changes it back and, what’s more, hires Teen to work at the club too. Shazza looks shifty. Denman and Teen go out for a meal together and Teen (discussing JoJo) says she hates the idea of another woman making moves on her man. Do you see what they did there, readers? Eh? Eh? Jojo watches the stall for a bit and sells loads of stock at low prices – Teen is not cross (shocker!) as she wanted to get rid of it anyway. JoJo pesters Mo that evening until Mo gives her a tenner to get lost. JoJo buys some chips and sits on Losers Bench alone. At the club, O-Den tells Shazza that she can go home early. When she is walking across the square she runs into Denman and Teen. Denman says he will go to the club for an hour. Shazza says she will go back as well. Teen says she will go as well. Shazza says she won’t bother then. Denman says he won’t bother either and Teen says she won’t bother either. Shazza then says that she will go after all and Denman says he will go too. Teen says she will go after all. Etc etc etc etc. While all this is going on, JoJo watches them like she is at a tennis match. She makes a face as the true horror of the Love Triangle That Refuses To Die sinks into her tiny, fragile mind.
