MOOMIN'S MOONIN'
Thankfully, we're getting a rest from Ian vs Simpleton vs Fill vs The World. Tonight, the EE scriptwriters' spotlight shines on Fool, Moomin and Denman.
Vickney's lounging on the sofa, watching RI:SE, no doubt. Denman appears for a second and then slopes off. Vickney decides to be a proper little sister and bug him for the rest of the day. She follows him into the bookies, where she discovers a talent for picking good horses, even though she's not 18 yet, and previously thought that form was something you filled in at the benefit office (are they still called benefit offices, btw?). Denman brushes her off at teatime. Somebody has told him that he is the only person in London not to have shagged Slutty, so he decides to have a go.
We discover that Fool is a West Ham supporter (look, my family loyalties can only go so far: he's still a fool and wearing a 60s replica Hammers shirt in bed only goes to prove that. If it was a Palace shirt, I'd say the same). Lots of crap about horoscopes and destiny from Nana Moon et al. Fool puts on a shirt that looks like he washed it with a biro and tries to express his deep deep lurve for Slutty several non-comedy times. In the end, she goes off with Denman, who might be monosyllabic, but at least he can wear a suit. Slutty's outfit for today is a red slash neck top, black mini skirt that does nothing for her arse and that funny choker thing that she always wears when she's about to get her heart broken. Fool is sad.
Today is Moomin's birthday. Jim is sad because he put Moomin's birthday money on the 3.30 at Wincanton. Dot is still in crisis, but tries to mask her angst by throwing herself into preparations for Moomin's birthday party, with cake and trifle and sandwiches (what is she? 6?). This doesn't work, so she gets pissed instead. Moomin, having spent all day mooning around Jaymee's grave and moaning at Fill, is sad(der). MY Gus gets a star named after her, but it only serves to remind her of Jaymee, poor Gus.
Fill turns up at on the Moomin doorstep to hand over a laptop that he says is "from Jaymee" or something like that. I had to feed the cats.
