LAY LADYDEN LAY
Rainman orders JoJo to get out of bed and tells her that he's got her
a job at the Nail Bar. JoJo is predictably sullen and bratty blah blah
blah. At the bar she is predictably lazy and bitchy - hello, does this
character have any redeeming features at all? Kyert and LadyDen are
still acting like a couple of annoying teens so she does blend in
quite well, I suppose. They bitch about each other and try to mess up
each other's clients again. Kyert is once again struck blind and
stupid by the Powers of Plot as she does not notice that Jojo is a
spiteful wee bitch. LadyDen gets a text from Dadfriend and looks
thoughtful. She confesses to O-Den that DadFriend was macking on her
but he is all "Who cares. Do you want to look at my Secret Treasure
map again?" The combination of Kyert Kattery and O-Den toolery combine
to make LadyDen feel sad.
Bad Brutha meets Quentin on a bench and tells him that he has
"decided" to stop selling Drugs at the club. Quentin is angry as he
really needed the money to finish the Directors Cut of Kill Bill
(which includes an extra three hours of Uma Thurman talking to Bill
about superman comics) and tells BB to sell the Drugs or else.
Panto-Jane martyrs her way to work to take her mind off CJDave, who is
apparently in a bad way. Ian tells her to go and have a rest and looks
after the caff (where no-one likes him as much as they do Jane). He
puts Backstreet in charge of the chippy and Backstreet immediately
sacks the ugly hobbit looking fryer for being "insubordinate".
Surprisingly the hobbit doesn't slam Backstreet's face into the fryer.
Backstreet has the genius idea of popping down to the vic and taking
orders for fish and chips (which apparently cook themselves as there
are no staff there any more.) Ian is pleased with Backstreet's
capitalist skillz.
More Walford (not very) Athletic shenanigans. Billy ponces around in
his manky coat and orders people around. Juley brow beats him into
becoming Captain and tries to get the role of striker but Billy says
he won't reveal the identity of the mystery striker until tomorrow,
because he is the boss and he is enjoying his petty little power trip.
Btw, I don't recognise a single film in the video shop - they must be
having a special promotion on "straight to video shite". He calls
another meeting and acts like an idiot some more. Billy, you aren't
Alex Fergusson and no-one is scared of you. When he goes to the
toilet, the team vote to ditch him and get Dole Scum Keef instead.
Billy says "Don't come crying to me when it all goes wrong." Don't
worry Billy, they won't. (though as this is a soap opera, they
probably will. Grrr.)
Dadfriend goes to the club to meet Vickney and O-Den tells him to stay
away from his daughter. Dadfriend is all "I'm not scared of you,
granddad." O-den goes to see a supplier and LadyDen comes in.
Dadfriend butters her up and they are about to kiss when O-Den comes
back. Great - another likeable character being spoiled by being made
to act like an idiot.
